I usually end up with 2 birthday cakes for my kids. A small one for just our family celebration and on their actual birthday and then another one for when the family comes to party! This was one I did for my daughter. I had never done this technique, but wanted to give it a try. I thought I did well. I love the way the flowers turned out, they look like the ribbon flowers you can buy for your hair. Best of all, she loved the cake.
