Camping Cake

 I was asked if I could make a cake for a blue and gold banquet. It was to be a camping theme. I of course jumped at the chance. Here is the cake I made. I wanted it to really fit the camping theme, so I even used a log as the cake stand!

 I was also asked to make some cupcakes to go with it. I did a variety of flavors and then topped them with smores makings.

I thought I would make the inside just a little extra special by doing it blue and gold in a checkerboard pattern.

My nephew was visiting and it was just a week before his birthday. So his mom and I decided very last minute to have a little "party" for him. I had just had a baby, so didn't go to church. Instead I stayed home and made these. Angry bird cupcakes.

 I did brown and green frosting and mixed them together to give them a camoflauged look, perfect for a little boy. He was thrilled and so surprised. I was so happy to help him out.

Star Cupcakes

I decorated about 60 of these babies for an activity. They went with a star theme so each cupcake had a fondant star on top. I forgot to take pictures, so these are the left overs!

Pizza Cupcakes

For my daughters birthday this year we did a pizza party. So, she wanted her cake to reflect that. We decided to do cupcakes instead and I just made little fondant pizzas, cut them and put them on them on her cupcakes.

Butterflies

I had some strawberries that just weren't getting eaten. I know, strawberries not getting eaten, but hey, some weeks crazy things happen. Anyhow I was trying to figure out what to do with them and decided to do some experimenting. I thought it would be fun to make a strawberry buttercream. I have only made the basic buttercream and wanted to try another kind. So, I looked up some recipes and got a general idea than went to it. It turned out fabulous! So yummy. I made cupcakes to put it on, Delicious moist chocolate fudge/pudding cupcakes! So good. I decorated the cupcakes with little butterflies.

Happy Cake

This cake just makes me happy. It was done for a bridal shower. It is a fake cake and then the cupcakes were served. The cupcakes were embellished with flowers in matching colors.
