Welcome to my Cake Blog.
It is pretty easy to use, just click on the Labels at the side. If you want to see Wedding Cakes, just click on that and it will bring up those cakes. You can click on some ofthe pictures to enlarge them so they can be viewed easier, some will not let you enlarge them. Sorry about that.
I hope you enjoy viewing my site.I would love to be able to do a cake for you. Let me know when, what you would like, and what kind of a budget you are working with.

WELCOME
Bedtime and Friend
I made this little number for my daughter's 5th Birthday. I asked her what she wanted her cake to look like. She told me she wanted it to have her and bedtime bear on it holding hands! Well, I did my best and she loved it. I saw lots of care bear cakes, they all had a blue and white theme to go with clouds, but I decided to incorporate her favorite colors, pink and green. She told me the cake was perfect. Gotta love a 5 year old.
The frosting is buttercream and the white is fondant. I made the figures out of fondant also. This was my first attempt at making figures, and I have to say, it was pretty fun. I was pleased with how they turned out. This was a really fun cake to make.
Keepin' it Simple
My daughter got lots of parties this year for her birthday. On her actual birthday day, I just made a simple heart cake for her and decorated it with sprinkles. I saved the fancy cake for the day of her party.

Daisy
I wanted to make a halloween cake this year. However, do to life, it didn't happen. I did get the cake frosted and the black frosting made, and that is as far as I got. I was going to do it today anyhow, but my daughter was around. So, this is the cake I ended up with along with the help of my almost 5 year old daughter. I thought it turned out really cute though. I like the black and white together. My husbands birthday is today so even though this is a little on the girly side, we put some candles on it and sang. I went with yellow flowers because, well frankly, because I had yellow candles. I think you coud use any color or any flower and get just the right pop of color for any occasion.

Cake Contest
So a website that makes t-shirts, Threadless, had a cake contest. You make a cake based on one of their t-shirt designs. Well, I decided to go ahead and do it. Knowing it would all just be for fun. I debated and debated and finally decided to do it. My cake is very amature compared to some, and definitely will not be winning, but it was still fun to make it. Actually, I picked a stressful time to decide to do it. Over all I was happy with the outcome. I thought it was a decent looking cake. Oh the flaws it had, but if you glance at it and don't look too hard, it is passable for cute. I hesitated to enter it because there were so many that were a TON better, but figured I had spent the time making it, I might as well submit it. Here is the link to the cake I made for the threadcakes contest.
Shirt it is based on.

Mackenzie
This was done for a baptism. I was told; pink, yellow, and purple roses. It is frosted with buttercream, accented with the roses and then has the same color polka dots to add a little something to the face of the cake.
Ivan
Some of my favorite colors together, the Ivan cake combines blue and brown. This cake was done for his baby blessing. The stripes, polka dots and letters are fondant and the cake is frosted with blue buttercream.
